Drivers are reporting several miles of tailbacks on the A90 north of Aberdeen after a lorry fire earlier today.
Firefighters said the vehicle was “well alight” when they arrived at the scene, close to the Cock and Bull restaurant, near Balmedie.
Two units, from Central fire station, were sent to the scene at around 5.45am.
The road was closed by police at the Murcar roundabout in both directions while the lorry was recovered and reopened around 9am.
Drivers have reported several miles of tailbacks with local traffic diversions in place.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said the lorry had been recovered.
