A section of the A90 was closed after a three-vehicle collision.
The incident, just north of the Toll of Birness, near Hatton, occurred at 3.40pm.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Three vehicles were involved, two cars and a HGV.
“One car was on its roof.
“The ambulance and fire services were also in attendance.
“Local diversions were in place. Both carriageways of the road were closed.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We sent one appliance with six firefighters.
“It was between two cars and a HGV, no one was trapped and we were not required.”
No one was seriously injured in the crash and the road has now reopened.
