A WOMAN broke down in court as she told a jury she was left bruised and bleeding after a failed bag-snatch.
Rhian Doran, 17, and Keiran Smith, 18, are on trial at Aberdeen Sheriff Court accused of assaulting Wiesalwa Rychlowska-Wanska to her severe injury and permanent disfigurement and also attempting to rob her of her handbag.
Doran, whose address was listed in court papers as 12C Hayton Road, Aberdeen, and Smith, whose address was listed in court papers as 18F Alexander Terrace, deny the alleged incident, which is said to have happened on October 18 last year at St Machar Court.
The court heard the alleged victim was left with a cut above an eyebrow and that she also sustained an injury to a shoulder, as well as a broken nose and bruising.
She said that during the alleged incident a demand was made for her to hand over her bag.
