The North-east’s biggest gaming convention is set to return to Aberdeen next year.
The two-day 4TG GameCon 2017 will again take place at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, running over the weekend of July 29 and 30.
Thousands of gamers attended the first event held at the AECC in August.
It featured a wide selection of games consoles, ranging from old school Nintendo and Sega devices to the modern Xbox One.
Gamers were also able to chat to popular Twitch and YouTube streamers, including Kelly Jean, Minevention and RossiHD.
4TG also offered many their first experience of virtual reality, with a number of headsets available throughout the weekend.
Speaking to the Evening Express, event organiser Alexa Scott said: “Any first event is always a starting point to build your brand and reach out to your audience – but the response we received was fantastic.
“We know that 4TG is here to stay and we look forward to growing the event and satisfying the Scottish gaming community.”
This year’s 4TG saw gamers battling it out to win a share of £2,600 by playing CS:GO, Call of Duty Black Ops III and Halo 5.
Next year gamers will compete in various Esports, including CS:GO, Overwatch, League of Legends, Call of Duty and Rocket League.
Attendees will also see a return of the cosplay competition and indie developers will get to showcase their latest works.
Anna Mackenzie, senior sales manager at the AECC, said: “It’s brilliant to be welcoming 4TG back.
“This year’s event went down a storm
“4TG 2017 promises to be even bigger and better.
“We’re looking forward to seeing another great event grow at the AECC.”
