More than 450 people failed to show up for scheduled medical appointments in the north-east last week.
Figures released by NHS Grampian show that a total of 454 patients (6%) did not attend appointments at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI) for the week running from November 5 until November 11.
The statistics, which are released by the health board on a weekly basis, also showed that at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (RACH), this number was 38, or 6% of all scheduled appointments.

At Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin, 89 patients failed to show up, which is 5%.
The figures also show that, in total, 7,277 people were seen in outpatient departments at ARI and 1,085 at A&E, 630 visited RACH for the same services, with 313 emergency visits.
A further 1,839 outpatients were seen at Dr Gray’s Hospital, with 479 people travelling to the A&E department.
