A TOTAL of 30 motorists were charged or warned in the North-east as part of a police crackdown on speeding.
Officers from the Hazlehead Community Policing Team checked the speed of 100 vehicles in Aberdeen.
And 30 were charged or warned in relation to speeding, not wearing a seatbelt and vehicle checks.
The operation took place in the Cults, Bieldside, Milltimber and Peterculter areas between 8am and 4pm on Monday.
Officers worked alongside road policing officers to address concerns raised by residents.
The action was part of the Operation Whitebeam initiative, which aims to improve the safety of Aberdeen’s roads.
