Firefighters this morning remain on the scene of a fishing vessel fire more than 24 hours after it started.
Emergency services including the RNLI were called to tackle the “well alight” fire at Peterhead Harbour.
Six Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliances, including 34 firefighters, were sent to try to put out the blaze, which happened on the Ardent II boat at about 5.40am yesterday.

At 11.30am, the fire was affecting parts of the boat including the accommodation area.
By 1.45pm, crews started to damp down the fire.
This morning, a spokeswoman for the fire service confirmed firefighters were still on the scene, “cooling it down”.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
