A busy North-east road is to receive £250,000 of resurfacing improvements.
The overnight work on the A90 southbound at Laurencekirk will begin tonight and take place over six days, finishing at 6.30am on Saturday, April 7.
There will be a lane closed southbound and a 10mph convoy system will be in place each night between 7.30pm and 6.30am.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North-east representative said: “The £250,000 overnight project will upgrade the condition of the southbound carriageway at Laurencekirk, helping to create a smoother and safer road surface and address any potholes or other road defects in the carriageway.
“The adverse weather conditions have had a serious impact on the road surface of some sections of our network, and this investment will allow us to carry out the necessary repairs to the carriageway surface.
“As traffic management is essential to ensure the safety of both the workforce and road users during the project, we’ve planned the works to take place overnight when traffic volumes are reduced to minimise any impact to road users as much as possible.”
