Around 2,400 North-east homes were left without power overnight due to storm Henry.
By 7am 300 were still without power and by 8.30am only 77 properties were affected.
The power cut is currently affecting areas, including Turriff, Banchory and Strathdon.
An SSE spokeswoman said: “At first light our engineers will assess what damage has been done due to the weather.
“We would like to thank people for their patience during the disruption.”
