A driver is to stand trial charged with killing another motorist in a fatal smash.
Craig Ross is alleged to have caused the death of William Buchan by driving dangerously near Hatton, Aberdeenshire, in May 2016.
Prosecutors claim the 28-year-old did “cross centre line of the road” into the path of Mr Buchan’s oncoming vehicle.
Mr Buchan, 48, is said to have been “so severely injured” that he died.
Ross yesterday denied the charge during a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
Judge Lord Burns set a trial due to begin in September in Aberdeen.
Bail for Ross, of Aberdeen, was continued meantime.
