The kitchen is often the heart of the home and this is certainly the case for Alyson and Ian Bodman.
The couple bought 23 Montrose Road in Inverbervie 13 years ago as a family home and have brought up their daughter, 24-year-old Cherish, in the five-bedroom home.
“We wanted something near a bus stop so that Cherish could go out and about,” said Alyson of why she bought the property with her 56-year-old husband Ian.
The family home has gas central heating, double glazing and solar panels and has been extended to create a stunning kitchen and living area where the family find themselves spending most of their time.
“I just like the space and the fact everyone can be together,” said 53-year-old Alyson, describing the heart of her home.
“It is a family place but now it is time to downsize.”
With a primary school, sports centre and all the essential shops in the town, the home would be a great place for a growing family.
Alyson said: “It’s nice just being in the centre of the town and in the community.
“There’s always something going on. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
