Escaping the hustle and bustle of city life was exactly what Paul Turner had intended on doing for years.
So it comes as no surprise that he was immediately drawn to 1 Mains of Drum due to its tranquil surroundings and impressive features.
Since 2012, when he moved into his property – which is nestled within an exclusive development of converted steadings near Banchory – Paul said there has been no need for renovation projects.
The 58-year old said: “I had lived in the city for a while and fancied a change, and the property was in a great location for commuting to and from work.
“It was also perfect to move into straight away, so I had no work to do and felt right at home.
“I still haven’t had to make any major changes to the property because it’s remained in perfect condition over the years.”
Now retired, he says the home would be ideal for couples and growing families alike, having enjoyed every minute of the lovely spot with wife Elmira, 28, and their two children.
“My favourite room is the kitchen area and I think everyone that has seen the home would agree.
“It’s where everything goes on and a great open space for get-togethers.
“The lounge is also a stand-out room. The space is cosy for couples but also provides enough space for larger families to relax and unwind,” said Paul.
