Lucy McLeod is a bit of a legend in Inverurie for serving up tasty treats at a popular cafe.
Up until two years ago, Lucy, 41, ran the award-winning The Doormouse and Teacup Tea Room, which was well known for its great bakes, served within the quirky vintage tea room.
Lucy, 41, who now works as a senior manager at NHS Grampian, said: ”I have always loved staying in Inverurie. It really is a great place to live.”
Lucy moved to the area when daughter, Olivia Sutherland, 14, was only a babe in arms.
Ever since she moved to the area she would often drive past Villafield and dream of one day owning it.
“I would always admire the property, especially at Christmas time with the Christmas tree in front of the bay window,” she added.
”I always knew one day I would live here.”
Lucy moved in to the attractive property in 2011 with her then boyfriend, David McLeod, 42, a BOP surveyor, daughter Olivia and David’s sons, Ethan, 13, and Innes, 9.
The couple were married in 2014 and for the past seven years they have created a stunning heritage/vintage home, not dissimilar to the interior of Lucy’s former tearoom.
The accommodation at Villafield comprises an entrance hall, lounge, dining kitchen, two double bedrooms and family bathroom on the ground floor.
Olivia’s stunning bedroom, a shower room, utility room and conservatory are located on the lower floor.
Traditional features are in abundance in this apartment and include high ceilings, ornate cornicing, moulded facings, skirtings and panelled doors.
The property is in tip-top condition and is ready to walk into with the greatest of ease.
With the family growing up, Lucy and David are looking to upgrade to a five-bedroom home so the boys can each have their own bedroom.
“We plan to remain in Inverurie,” said Lucy.
“I love a house with character, so can’t wait to find our next home.”
