In every way, Emma and Michael Middler’s lovely home in Portlethen has been a home of firsts.
For it has been here the childhood sweethearts have experienced all their amazing life-changing moments.
Emma, 28, a tax manager with Johnston Carmichael, said: “Michael and I set up home together when we were 22.
“We were attracted to Portlethen as it has plenty of amenities and we wanted to move in to a new build.
”Another plus point for us was although we were on the outskirts of the city, the trains run from Aberdeen until 11.30pm, so it has been great for nights out!”
Since moving in, Emma and Michael, also 28, who works as a electrical design engineer with Enerquip, have utilised their two spare bedrooms to suit their individual needs… Specifically by turning bedroom two into a man cave for Michael, while bedroom three has been transformed in to a dressing room for Emma.
The accommodation comprises a cloakroom, lounge, kitchen, three bedrooms and family bathroom.
The lounge, which is Emma’s favourite room, is where the couple love to entertain.
“We have enjoyed having friends around for barbecues and just open the French doors, so everyone can just come and go from the garden.”
Speaking of which, even rabbits Millie and Maisie has been catered for and they have their very own bespoke section of garden area.
“We hauled in a few friends to help with the decked area, while granddads and dads helped out with the patio.”
As they prepare to leave behind the house they moved in to the same week Emma finished university, where Michael proposed and earlier this year became their marital home, they are taking the next step on the property ladder.
And the plan is to remain on the south side of the city.
