An indie rock band is to perform at an Aberdeen music store.
Frightened Rabbit will be performing live acoustic sets and signing copies of their fifth studio album, Painting Of A Panic Attack, at the city’s HMV store on Union Street on Saturday at 4pm.
The album is to be released on Friday.
Andy Monaghan, the band’s guitarist and keyboard player, said he was excited at the prospect of releasing a new album.
He said: “We’re really proud of the album and I think that we’ve got a great collection of songs. I hope the fans like it as much as we do and I can’t wait to see their reaction when we play the tracks live.
“The best way to gauge if the fans like the new stuff or not is by doing gigs, and that brings out the nerves sometimes but it’s a good feeling at the same time.”
He added: “We’re off to America not long after that which is fantastic, but we do love playing on home soil, as I’m sure many bands would say the same.”
Formed in 2003, the band currently consists of Scott Hutchison on vocals and guitar, Grant Hutchison on drums, Billy Kennedy on guitar and bass, Andy on guitar and keyboards, and Simon Liddell on guitar.
