What’s in a name? Wonderful by any other name would still taste as good… but the moniker is quite apt in this case.
Denying thy doctor and refusing thy diet I turned to the eatery on George Street to satisfy my craving.
We opted for the set meal for two (£23) – three mains, two sides and a starter from a selection of dishes, which proved great value.
Whittling down the choices was tough but was eventually settled on shredded chilli beef, honey crispy chicken and sweet and sour batter chicken balls for our three mains.
For full Chinese authenticity we took chips as one of our sides and noodles.
The starters we chose were mixed hors d’oeuvres – spring rolls, BBQ ribs, chicken on skewers and prawn toast.
Nothing from the whole meal disappointed – but the shredded beef was the star of the show. An honourable mention must go to the starter.
What we thought
Good food, and plenty of it, at a good price. Enough to feed an extra person.
