The Store at Foveran is one of those places most of us wish we could shop.
Fresh local vegetables, a massive selection of meat from their own farm as well as a wide range of breads, sauces and spices.
The restaurant area was quiet for a Saturday afternoon so we were quickly seated by the friendly attentive staff.
I opted for a long-time favourite, a steak sandwich. Served in a fresh ciabatta with a healthy helping of caramelised onions (£6.95).
Although the steak was melt in the mouth, the taste was a little overwhelmed by the slightly too sweet onions.
My fiancé opted for the bacon cheese burger (£9.50), however, she was not prepared for the monster that arrived in front of her.
Two massive patties of beautifully seasoned Aberdeen Angus beef, topped with two rashes of crispy bacon and two slices of mature cheese.
If you’re a fan of home cooked food, straight from producers, The Store is hard to beat.
