After double booking ourselves and facing a rush to ensure we got to a Christmas concert in time, we had to make a quick pitstop for food instead of cooking.
We decided to pop by this popular pub to see what they had to offer. We found a pretty varied menu which caters for all tastes, with a variety of smaller plates, and veggie and vegan options.
After ordering at the bar, our food arrived in super-quick time.
I opted for sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry, which had tender pieces of veg in a nicely spiced sauce, with fluffy rice, popadums and a massive nan bread.
My other half went for chilli con carne, with rice, sour cream and tortilla chips, which he said was satisfying but could have done with more spice bite.
Our youngest diner, who had battered cod and chips with peas, also cleared his plate and gave the fish a thumbs up and the chips full marks.
