Returning to one of my old haunts after so long I was eager to see if the food was still as good.
And if the amount of diners was anything to go by, I had my answer.
The portion sizes here are pretty impressive.
So much so, my friend Julia and I decided to just have mains.
We hummed and hawed over tempting dishes such as fillet steak, breaded sole, hunters chicken, but I chose beef fajitas (£12.95), while my friend ordered a Thai red chicken curry (£12.95),
Julia’s curry was both colourful and fragrant.
She declared both the chips and rice ‘light and fluffy’, and the chicken cooked to perfection.
She would have liked more of a ‘kick’, but she cleared her plate anyway.
My fajitas were utterly delicious.
They had just the right amount of spice, and the meat was so tender it simply disintegrated on contact with my tongue!
