The Coffee House

There’s nothing like reacquainting yourself after a long holiday by paying your favourite cafe a much needed visit.

A friend and I walked into The Coffee House on a bustling Saturday afternoon and were quick to queue and order our late-lunch.

I went for the greek pie (£6.50), a feta and egg filled filo pastry, accompanied by a salad with rich sundried tomatoes.

The pie was warm and hearty for a cold afternoon and definitely hit the spot. And I couldn’t visit The Coffee House without having a rich cup of coffee (£2.45).

My dining partner opted for the peanut butter, chilli jam and streaky bacon sandwich (£5.10) which she enjoyed, although she thought it could have done without the apple slices.

The sandwich which also came with a salad, which my friend said could have been dressed.
