Me and my sister often take a trip out from Aberdeen to Inverurie.
Its plethora of independent shops and cafes remind us of what shopping used to be like before huge impersonal malls.
And one of our favourite spots to eat is the garden centre restaurant.
It was bustling as usual when we arrived for lunch and I opted for the macaroni cheese and chips.
My sister went for the roast gammon dinner.
To my delight, my very generous helping of macaroni was extra cheesy.
The soft pasta tubes were smothered in a thick, gloopy, delicious sauce.
The hand-cut, homemade chips were perfect – crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside.
My sister’s gammon was perfectly cooked. Soft, moist and very flavoursome.
This big portion of meat came with baby potatoes, chunks of carrot and sweet onion sauce, which perfectly complemented the tender gammon.
