When you dine out with a food blogger who’s as mad about gin as you, there’s only one place to go, Cognito Deli.
With stunning surroundings, comfy velvet cinema seats and an impressive gin list, it was a no brainer.
On arrival we opted for a goblet of Lussa gin with slimline tonic, as recommended by our charming server.
Looking to the menu I was craving something filling – tomato, basil and shaved Serrano ham bruschetta it was.
In the mood to share, my friend went for the melting pot.
Presented with two dishes bursting with colour, the smell of the melted cheese sent my hunger pangs into overdrive.
Diving into the mix of melted deli cheeses served in a fondue style, the freshly made bread, that is made in-house, was gone in minutes.
Eyeing up the two generous size Serrano ham bruschettas, it was the freshness of the dish and the intense flavours from the tomatoes which captured our attention.
Knowledgeable staff and a relaxing, homely feel.
