Looking for something to quench my thirst after a busy day at Taste of Grampian, we headed to cocktail bar Dusk for a drink.
On arrival the bar was busy and there were lots of people in.
Looking for inspiration my eyes scanned the room and spied two ladies enjoying a goblet of something which looked rather delicious – I was intrigued and immediately did some investigating.
Turns out it was the bar’s weekly special, What’s Up Dock?
Featuring JJ Whitley Nettle gin, sweet vermouth, elderflower, champagne syrup and lemon juice I knew I was on to a winner as I love gin cocktails.
Full to the brim, I perched myself at the bar and enjoyed the sweet yet slightly bitter cocktail.
It hit the spot.
My boyfriend decided on a pint of one of the house beers on tap, Deeside Brewery’s Rye APA.
The strong, crisp citrus notes within the beer meant it was very refreshing and was extremely flavoursome.
