I love trying new things and so when I heard about a 100% vegan co-op cafe in Aberdeen, I was intrigued.
I chose the tofu satay wrap from the fridge (£4) while my boyfriend chose the sausage and roasted vegetable wrap (£4).
Our wraps were heated up and brought to us on our table in the pretty garden upstairs.
To drink, I ordered an Americano and when it came to my milk on the side, I was offered a choice of coconut, oat or soy.
My boyfriend decided on a bottled juice, flavoured with matcha tea and Sicilian lemon.
Though I couldn’t taste satay in particular, my wrap was all of the flavours I enjoy – Asian-inspired miso and soy with crunchy veg.
My boyfriend’s wrap was equally nice – vegetarian sausage with Mediterranean vegetables and a melted vegan cheese.
After a taste of each other’s lunch, we decided to swap plates to get a real taste of the variety on offer.
