After battling blistering cold for a few hours, we fancied a tasty and comforting meal.
Set in a quiet part of the city centre, Amore is truly a hidden gem.
This Italian and Mediterranean restaurant is the perfect spot for a quick lunch.
And with the prices for a two-course meal starting at £7.95, eating out at Amore will not break the bank.
While my boyfriend was enjoying his tasty bruschetta pomodoro, which he could only described as “perfection,” I opted for pate della casa, a smooth chicken liver pate served with toasted Italian bread and a salad, which exceeded my high expectations.
fHaving already tried almost all of Amore’s main courses, I decided to go for a classic Italian dish. My penne arrabiatta in a garlic sauce was cooked to perfection and my boyfriend’s penne piccante was creamy with the right amount of spice.
The restaurant’s attentive but not intrusive service made us feel very welcome.
We will definitely be returning sooner rather than later.
