Food Review: SEVEN Restaurant and cafe bar, Summer Street

SEVEN on Summer Street.

SEVEN restaurant/cafe bar, Summer street, Aberdeen

On a freezing cold day there’s nothing better than a warm cafe, a hot coffee and a toasted sandwich.

Tucked away from the wind on Summer Street, SEVEN offered everything we were looking for, and more. This place is stunning.

The small but simple lunch time menu has around a dozen sandwiches, all priced at £5.95 – perfect for a weekday lunch especially if you’re on a budget.

We both picked SEVEN’s club sandwich, complete with smoked bacon and maple mayo.

Maple syrup and bacon is always a winning combo – mixing in a little creamy mayonnaise took it to another level providing a perfect balance of savoury and sweet.

With toasted seeded bread, super sweet roast tomatoes and packed full of leaves and avocado resulted in a perfectly balanced sandwich. Including my flat white and my partner’s pot of tea the total bill was just over £16.
