Attentive but not intrusive waiters at Aperitivo made us feel very welcome from the moment we entered the lovely restaurant.
We were happy to discover the eatery serves its lunch/pre theatre menu every day till 6pm. We both ordered a two-course meal for £9.95.
While my friend started her Aperitivo experience with tasty pane alla aglio e formaggio (garlic bread), I opted for a traditional bruschetta.
The portions of our starters were not very big but they were both delicious.
For my main, I ordered linguine al pesto, a large portion of flat spaghetti served with sun dried tomatoes, grilled peppers and aubergines.
Even though I really liked my vegetarian dish, I though the chef was a bit generous with the olive oil which made the pasta too greasy for my liking.
My friend said her lasagne al forno was the best homemade oven baked meat lasagne she ever had in Aberdeen.
