When both children arrived, Lyndsay and Michael, 47, a self-employed piping engineer, decided to build a small extension – which allowed them to expand the space in the kitchen, add a utility room, and plenty of storage.
And there was one item on Lyndsay’s ‘must have’ wish list while work was being carried out.
“We had a window installed so I can look out and see Bennachie while I am doing the washing up”, Lyndsay said.
“As a family we mainly spend all our time in the kitchen and family room. It is certainly the hub of our home.”
