A sensational hit show with Take That’s music is set to shine for Aberdeen audiences.
Tim Firth’s The Band is just one of a host of new shows announced in His Majesty’s Theatre’s latest brochure – including the return of Evita and news that Snow White will be next year’s panto.
Currently playing to packed houses across the UK, The Band is the fastest-selling musical tour of all time and will arrive at HMT from October 3 to 13 next year.
Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams are all producers of the show, which features a string of their biggest hits.
The heart-warming story, spanning 25 years, tells of five friends who want to realise their dream of meeting their boy band idols.
Songs such as Never Forget, Back For Good, and Relight My Fire, are performed by Five To Five, the winners of BBC’s Let It Shine.
Jane Spiers, executive director of Aberdeen Performing Arts, said: “Among the highlights (of the new brochure) is sure to be The Band, a warm-hearted, exciting tale packed with incredible feel good music.”
She said APA was also delighted about the return of Evita, which will run from October 16.
“The stunning Evita is a classic that we’re thrilled to welcome back to Aberdeen,” said Jane, adding: “With this year’s panto, Aladdin, just around the corner, our new brochure also includes our 2018 title, Snow White, for those who like to get the best seats in the house early on.”
Tickets for all the new shows go on sale to APA Friends on Thursday, November 23, and to the general public from Tuesday, November 28.
