The Dons received a massive boost today when defender Shay Logan signed a new contract extension.
Rotherham United were among the clubs linked with 28-year-old right-back, whose deal with the Dons was due to expire in the summer.
There had also been speculation Logan would move back to England to be closer to his family.
The defender ended all that by penning a new two year deal at Pittodrie this morning.

Logan said: “I’m happy with the deal I got and happy to stay at Aberdeen.”
The former Manchester City and Brentford player admitted the chance to play in Europe again with the Dons next season was one of the main reasons why he snubbed offers from other clubs to remain at Pittodrie.
“That was one of the main motivations,” he said.
“There was interest from other clubs, as I thought there would be.
“But they didn’t provide the chance to play European football.
“I’ve played in it for the last two seasons now and it’s definitely something that I’ve liked.
“The bad side to it is your holidays are cut short.
“But it’s all worth it when you get to play in games like the one against Rijeka, when we won 3-0 away from home.”
Logan is also desperate to win more silverware with the Dons.
He was in the Aberdeen team that ended the 19 year wait for glory by winning League Cup in 2014.
“That was one of the best days of my career and definitely want to do something like that again,” he said.
“It hasn’t turned out the way we wanted in the cups this season, but there is always next season.”
Dons boss Derek McInnes said: “I was always confident we could try and get there and get a deal done.
“It is absolutely brilliant news.
“Shay since he came to the club two and a half years ago has been very consistent with his performances and has become a firm favourite with everyone at the club including the supporters.
“I am sure they will be delighted with the news that he has committed himself to us.
“It has been well documented his situation is not the norm for most players but his love of the club has never been in question and we are delighted what Shay has given to us over the past two and a half years and delighted to have him for the foreseeable future.”
