Who are Ordabasy Shymkent and NK Siroki Brijeg?

Derak McInnes' Dons could face a 5,000-mile trip to Kazakhstan ... again

Ordabasy Shymkent play at the K. Munaitpasov Stadium in Shymkent, Kazakhstan – the country’s third most populous city.

They were only formed in July 2000 and play in the Kazak Premier League, where they finished fourth in 2016. They have never been beyond the second qualifying round of the Europa League.

Shymkent is 430 miles west of the Dons previous European opponents Kairat Almaty.

A flight to Shymkent from Aberdeen will mean at least two stops along the way, with changeovers in places including Amsterdam, Moscow and Astana, depending on the service.

NK Siroki Brijeg are based in Siroki Brijeg, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club was founded in 1948.

Siroki play in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and has come top of the division twice previously. They play at Pecara Stadium.

Siroki Brijeg is around 15 miles from Mostar, Herzegovina’s cultural capital, where any flight route will most likely end.
