Rotherham United midfielder-defender Dominic Ball has returned to Aberdeen on a season-long loan, the Dons have announced.
The 22-year-old, who began his career at English Premier League Tottenham Hotspur, made 19 appearances for Derek McInnes’ men last season and was linked with the Reds earlier this week.
He played a vital role in Aberdeen’s post-split games, where for the most part he played in a holding midfield role. He was also utilised as back-up to Shay Logan at right-back and at centre-back.
McInnes said: “I’m delighted to welcome Dom back.
“He showed exactly what he is capable of in the latter part of the league campaign when he played a vital role in our post-split games during which we were undefeated.”
