The Dons have signed James Wilson from Manchester United on a season long loan.
The 22-year-old burst onto the scene at Old Trafford in 2014 when he scored two goals against Hull City on his debut.
Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has been looking to add another striker to his squad following Adam Rooney’s departure to Salford City last month.
Wilson, a former England Under-21 international, is under contract with the Red Devils until next summer after being handed a four-year deal by then boss Louis van Gaal in 2015.
After his breakthrough at United Wilson was on loan with Brighton in the Championship in the 2015-16 season.
The following campaign he was loaned to Derby but suffered a cruciate ligament injury in October 2016.
Wilson made his comeback last season at Sheffield United after moving on loan to the Yorkshire side in January, scoring one goal in nine appearances.
