Aberdeen have drawn Burnley in the Europa League second qualifying round.
The two-legged tie, which will signal the start of the Dons 2018/19 season, gets under way with the first leg on Thursday, July 26, and the return seven days later.
The details for both legs of the tie have still to be confirmed.
Sean Dyche’s side finished seventh in last season’s English Premier League will provide a formidable test for the Reds.
The draw at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland were delayed by 45 minutes and the draw is one of the toughest possible for Derek McInnes’ team.
When the draw did begin it was revealed that the Dons could face Burnley, Italian side Atalanta, Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar, the winner of the first round tie between Glenavon from Northern Ireland and Norwegians Molde or the winner of the first round tie between Lithuania’s Zalgiris Vilnius and a preliminary round winner.
