Aberdeen have confirmed they’ve re-signed attacker Greg Stewart on loan for the rest of the season.
Birmingham City’s Stewart, who was twice nominated for Premiership player of the year while at Dundee, was on-loan at Pittodrie last season.
He spent the first half of this campaign with Kilmarnock, scoring eight times, including against the Dons, before being recalled.
Stewart should be in contention to feature against Stenhousemuir in the Scottish Cup fourth round at Pittodrie tomorrow.
Aberdeen are also closing in on a pre-contract agreement with St Johnstone captain Joe Shaughnessy, who is into the last six months of his deal at McDiarmid Park.
It is understood the Reds have offered the centre-back, 26, a better deal than Saints and he could soon agree to return to Pittodrie, where he played between 2009 and 2015, in the summer.
