ABERDEEN have confirmed that they have no plans to create a standing section at Pittodrie, although they would consider introducing it at a new stadium.
The newly constructed area, which would accommodate 2,600 supporters at first, could potentially be in place for the start of the 2016/17 Premiership season.
However the Dons will not look to follow suit in the near future.
An Aberdeen Football Club spokesman said: “We have no plans to create a standing section at Pittodrie.
“As we are aiming to move to a new stadium in the near future we would look to try to minimise capital expenditure.
“However, it is something that we would consider at the new stadium.”
