A crowd gathered outside Pittodrie this morning to bid farewell to well-known and much-loved Dons fan.
Norman Goldie passed away last week at the age of 87.
Today his funeral procession passed by the home of the team he loved passionately, with fans and staff gathering to see him off.
Norman was a popular figure at both home and away games, as well as all around the city.
He could often be seen decked out in Aberdeen gear, even on non-match days, wearing his famous sandals with one red sock and one white.
His funeral was scheduled to take today at Aberdeen Crematorium.
A banner paying tribute to the iconic supporter was displayed at last night’s match against Hearts, and cries of “there’s only one Norman Goldie” could be heard from the stands.
The club also retired Norman’s seat in the Merkland Family Stand, painting it red and white in reference to his famous socks.
News of the act has spread online and has been reported as far away as America.
