Aberdeen FC defender Scott McKenna has been banned for two matches after the Dons lost their appeal for his challenge on Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard.
McKenna’s challenge on striker Odsonne Edouard in the 1-0 loss at Parkhead on Saturday went unpunished by match referee Bobby Madden.
However retrospective action was taken by the governing body with a notice of complaint issued by the Scottish FA.
McKenna was given the option of accepting a mandatory two-game ban or appealing.
Aberdeen contested the ban which forced a fast track tribunal at Hampden today.
They have hit the 21-year-old with a two game ban.
Scotland international McKenna will now miss the upcoming Premiership matches against St Mirren and Hearts.
