SIR Alex Ferguson is set to be inducted into the Dons’ Hall of Fame.
Fergusonthe club’s greatest ever manager, will be honoured at a a gala dinner at Aberdeen’s Marcliffe Hotel on November 5.
The event has been organised to publicise the revival of the Hall of Fame, which was originally created in 2004 to recognise players and managers and other individuals who made significant contributions during their time at Pittodrie.
Previous inductees include club record top scorer Joe Harper, Gothenburg Greats Willie Miller, Neil Simpson, Jim Leighton and John Hewitt, long serving captain Ally Shewan, striker Drew Jarvie and midfielder Jim Bett.
Former Dons boss Eddie Turnbull, late club chairman Dick Donald and legendary coach and trainer Teddy Scott are others who gained recognition for their service to the Dons over a number of years.
