Aberdeen line up loan move for Derby left-back Max Lowe

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes hopes to add another signing before the transfer window closes.

Aberdeen are lining up a move to secure Derby County left-back Max Lowe on a season long loan before the transfer deadline on Friday.

Dons boss Derek McInnes aims to secure cover for the left-back area for the campaign.

Lowe is currently third choice left back at the Rams under manager Frank Lampard.

The 21-year-old has been made available for loan and the Dons are understood to have targeted him.

Derby County youth Academy product Lowe impressed in pre-season and started the first two Championship fixtures against Reading and Leeds United.

But Scotland international Craig Forsyth has lined up at left back in the past two league games against Ipswich Town and Preston North End.

Summer signing Scott Malone has also returned to fitness following a groin injury and started in the recent 4-0 victory over Hull City in the Carabao Cup and was replaced by Lowe after 71 minutes.
