Cocky winger Filip Kostic says FC Groningen are 80% through

By Ben Holme, 18 Jul 2014 3.08pm

COCKY Groningen winger Filip Kostic today said his club are 80% of the way to knocking Aberdeen out of Europe following their goalless draw at Pittodrie.

The Serbian Under-21 international, is confident the Dutch side will progress to the third qualifying round of the Europa League next week.

“It was a good game and 0-0 is a very good result for the team because next week we play at home,” said Kostic.

“Aberdeen were a good team and we respect them.

“But I think we will win the next game.

“We go home happy, we have done 80% of what we need to go through.”

The winners of the tie will play Real Sociedad in the next round.

That guy was an idiot during the match when he didn't return the ball to Langfield. If your attitude is that you are more or less through with 90 minutes to play, then you probably won't. There is never that assumption with McInnes.

Think our boys can do it also but we need a proper left back. Hayes is doing well considering but he's wasted there. Such a great asset in his proper position.

Very even tie. They will have to attack more, we can hit them hard on the counter with our pace. I am very confident we will be in the next round.

80%? They need to win the game next week to progress where as Aberdeen just need a score draw. I'd say it's 60-40 to the Dons at present.
