A FAST food restaurant on the edge of a busy industrial estate in Aberdeen is to open round-the-clock.

McDonald’s restaurant at Broadfold Road in Bridge of Don has been granted a 24-hour licence.

The fast food outlet currently opens from 5am to midnight on Sundays and weekdays and 5am to 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Branch manager Ron Innes said he was “over the moon” at the approval of extra opening hours by the city’s licensing committee.

Mr Innes said the additional opening hours will create about 15 new jobs at the restaurant, which already employs 85 people.

Wont be any police on call to respond there as the new call centre people wont have a clue where it is,

Most dumbest comment of the day. The call centre simply relays the scene of the alleged crime onto police who actually reside and work in Aberdeen.

"McDonalds" & "restaurant" in the same sentence in this context is surely a contradiction in terms?

An oxymoron is the word your looking for.

99% of the staff are Central Asian. I.e. Indian. You need to be Indian to get a job there.

Better make sure there is a constant police presence outside this place at the weekends. There's going to be a lot of folk deciding at 5am its time for a munch after their Friday shenanigans
