Duthie Park Anniversary
A FUN-PACKED afternoon saw crowds celebrate the 125th anniversary of
The event featured entertainment including displays from school pupils, a model boat regatta, a Victorian Model Railway and cooking displays.
The park was donated by Miss Elizabeth Duthie to the council in 1881.
And the celebration started with her great-great niece, Jackie Leith, arriving by horse and carriage dressed as her great-great aunt.

Lourin Fair
THE annual Lourin Fair promised to be bigger and better than years before – and didn't disappoint.
There was a range of events to appeal to all ages at the Market Cross in Old Rayne on Saturday and the fine weather saw the day go without a hitch.
It’s a Knockout, the coconut shy and fun football games were all part of the attraction.
Local farmer George Skinner, also chairman of Old Rayne Community Association, said: “We try to strike a good balance between old and new and put on a range of events that appeal to all ages and offers value for money.”

The Keith Country Show was being held today and yesterday on a show field in the outskirts of the town.

PITTODRIE was filled to capacity for the glamour tie against Alex Ferguson's Manchester United. Dons fans filled the ground with colour and provided a red-hot atmosphere for the match against Rooney, Giggs and co. Have a look through our pictures of the crowd and see if you can spot yourself.

THE game itself was played in good spirits and both sides offered some entertaining football. Manchester United were always a class above their hosts but required the softest of penalties to take the lead through Michael Carrick just before half time.
Wayne Rooney wrapped things up with a clever header from the edge of the six yard box although this game was never about the result.
Johnshaven Fish Fair
JOHNSHAVEN Annual Fish Festival netted a huge catch of visitors at the harbour area of the village on Saturday.
People come from miles around for the event, which this year featured a wide variety of attractions including a visit by the RNLI lifeboat Moonbeam and the annual raft race.
Live music was provided by Fisher Folk, The Residents, Radar, Standby and the Travelling Raspberries.
Fresh and cooked fish were on offer all day and arts and crafts stalls and kids games provided fun for all the family.

HUNDREDS of cyclists took part in the 22nd Great Inverurie Bike Ride.
The annual event saw cyclists tackle a scenic 25-mile route through the heart of Garioch, passing through Chapel of Garioch, Bennachie, Pitfichie and Monymusk, before returning to the start via Fetternear and Burnhervie.

Waldorf School
FAMILIES enjoyed bursts of sunshine at the Cults school as they ate strawberries and cream.
Kids were given a real taste of summer as they rode around on donkeys and jugglers were on hand to spin plates for enthusiastic onlookers.

HUNDREDS of people turned out to the 143rd Echt Show – despite the rain.

A MINI Highland Games has been held for nearly 400 children.
About 180 children took part at the event at Archaeolink, at Oyne, near Insch.
Games included scaled-down versions of tossing the caber, overhead heave and putting the stone as well as standing long jump, cross-country run and tug o’ war.

A FUN-FILLED day for the whole family attracted nearly 1,000 visitors.
Attractions for kids at Balmedie Gala included a bouncy castle, martial arts demonstrations, games, face painting, a story-telling area and safety talks from Grampian Police.
Adults enjoyed a Fair Trade bar that offered a variety of refreshments, a barbecue, a tent where they could relax with head massage or reflexology and many different craft stalls.
Entertainment throughout the day and evening included music from local bands.
Event organiser Becka Gauld said: “It turned out to be a great day.

BIG-HEARTED cyclists got in their saddles to help raise money for charity.
More than 40 volunteers got on their bikes at the Childline Scotland Big Bike Ride in
The target was for volunteers to cycle a 1km route through the park in order to raise funds for the charity.
In a glorious day of sunshine, parents cycled with kids on chairs on the back of their bikes, some people did up to 16 laps – a 10-mile cycle – and one man did seven laps riding a rickshaw.
Organisers said they were delighted with the turn-out.
