Be a Community Correspondent

THE EVENING EXPRESS is at the heart of the community.

And now we want the community at our own heart  –  by getting you to write for your newspaper.

We are looking for a team of eager people to become community correspondents, capturing all the news and gossip from their local areas.

Young or old, men or women, we are looking for people with an interest in local issues and from all  walks of life.

So if you are from areas like Bridge of Don, Northfield, Mastrick, Stonehaven, Westhill, Kingswells, Inverurie, Ellon, Cove,  Torry, Peterhead or Fraserburgh then you could be just the person we are looking for.

And don’t worry if you think you don’t fit the bill  – we are looking for all kinds of people, from the local dinner lady to full-time mums.

All you need is the ability to spot a story. And there are plenty of issues out there just waiting to be covered, such as cuts at local schools, potholes in your street, or the road works making your life a misery. But we don’t just want bad news. You could tell us all about the successes in your neighbourhood.

So if you think you are up to the task then send  your details  – including name, age, email address and daytime phone number  –  to Evening Express deputy news editor Karen Allan at karen.allan@ajl.co.uk or ring her on (01224) 344173
