Man in court for alleged attack
35-year-old fights for life in hospital

A MAN was due in court today after his brother was allegedly stabbed in the head.
The 35-year-old injured man was said to have suffered wounds to his head and back, and was in a critical condition in hospital today.
Police swooped on an address in a North-east village in connection with the alleged attack.
Police today said a 28-year-old man ,believed to be the injured man’s brother, was due to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court in connection with the alleged assault in Boddam.
Grampian Police and Scottish Ambulance Service crews were called to the village near Peterhead.
They were responding to a reported stabbing in a property on the village’s Claymore Crescent.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said the man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance with a police escort.
He said the man had a number of serious stab wounds.
“A 35-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and it was reported as a stabbing,” he said.
“The man had life-threatening injuries and had several stab wounds.
“The wounds were to his head and back.”
A police spokesman today confirmed officers were called to the scene.
He said: “We can confirm that following an alleged serious assault at a house on Claymore Crescent, Boddam, a 28-year-old man has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident.
“He was due to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court today.”
Today police officers stood outside the house of the alleged attack.
A police officer was also on guard at a property on Boddam’s Church Place.
Residents in the village said a woman and man lived at that address.
It was thought that the couple had moved to the area less than a year ago.
