STEVEN Davis insists no one at Rangers will panic after slipping four points behind Celtic in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

Boss Walter Smith claimed afterwards a Kris Boyd goal which was disallowed for offside should have stood.

Davis said: “We’re not looking at the league table at the moment.

“The most disappointing thing was not to come away with the win especially when we had an offside decision going against us as well.

“We’re not panicking as there are still a lot of games to be played throughout the season.

“We just have to focus on Saturday’s game now.”

It was a match where both goalkeepers earned the plaudits for pulling off several decent saves.

But Motherwell keeper Graeme Smith admits even a Rangers goal-glut would not have wiped the smile off his face following the birth of baby daughter Mia the night before.

“Everywhere I go I’ve just got a smile on my face just now,” he said.
