Gers face tricky trip to Hamilton

RANGERS manager Walter Smith has warned against taking the threat of Hamilton lightly tomorrow.
The Gers boss takes his side to New Douglas Park for the first time in nearly 20 years for a lunchtime date with both sides looking to bounce back from defeat to St Mirren in their last outings.
Hamilton sit second bottom of the SPL but, with just four points separating the entire bottom six and survival the top priority, Smith insists they are a team not to be underestimated.
“Hamilton have a great deal of enthusiasm about their play, as you would expect from a team just coming into the SPL,” he said.
“A few teams have been caught by surprise at that.
“Add to that the fact it’s the first game against Rangers for a long time then it’ll be a game they will be up for, and we certainly have to show we are as well.
“Enthusiasm has been the key and their manager Billy Reid deserves a great deal of credit.
“They have shown in the early part of the SPL that they will be dangerous to any team they have to play.”
