THE Killers’ Aberdeen gig sold out in less than five minutes today, setting Scottish box office records.

All 8,500 briefs for the AECC concert on March 5, were snapped up almost as soon as they went on sale at 10am.

The LA-based band also sold out their other Scottish date in Glasgow.

Brian Horsburgh, acting managing director of the AECC, said: “It comes as no surprise that tickets for this gig have sold out so fast.

“It demonstrates just how popular The Killers are in the North-east.

“We also had the Pussycat Dolls go on sale today with more than two-thirds of the tickets for their Aberdeen concert selling by lunchtime.”
