COVE’S hopes of defending their Highland League title have been boosted by the arrival of two young guns at Allan Park.

Towering centre-half Jordan Heads has signed after being released by Ross County.

Heads will soon be joined at Allan Park by Jamie Cromar.

The 18-year-old midfielder, pictured, is ready to pledge his services to Cove this weekend having left Inverness in the summer.

Cove boss John Sheran said: “Both are young players who will be looking to come here and establish themselves.”

On the way out of Cove could be Paul Coutts, who is winning his fight to earn a deal at Peterborough.

The 20-year-old is set to be offered a contract by The Posh after impressing in a 2-0 win over Stevenage Borough.

Meanwhile, Cove are looking for experienced groundstaff.
