Amy and Steve at Aberdeen match

CHART-topper Amy Macdonald and former Dons striker Steve Lovell only have eyes for each other.

The newly-engaged couple were spotted snuggling up during last night’s friendly between Dundee and Aberdeen at Dens Park.

Steve, 27, proposed to Amy, 20, during a romantic holiday in Grenada last month.

Amy, from Bishopbriggs, near Glasgow, revealed the happy news at T in the Park when she took to the stage wearing a sparkling diamond ring.

But despite penning a song called Footballer’s Wife, the songstress insists she is definitely not a WAG.

She said: “Just because I might be going out with someone who plays football doesn’t mean I’ve turned into a celebrity-crazed fame-hungry woman.”

The couple have been together since January.

They got in contact when Steve sent Amy a fan letter and continued to send her flowers. They finally met after he invited her to watch Aberdeen play Motherwell last December.
